News
The information below represents some of the latest exciting news from the Arlington-Falls Church Volunteer Rescue Squad.
2008 Fund Drive Underweay
As you are probably aware, the Rescue Squad relies upon the generous donations of our community members to continue providing our services. Many residents of Arlington County recently received a fundraising letter in the mail. We encourage you to donate using the mail in form, or by clicking here to make an online donation.
Successful EMS Week
During the week of May 18th - 24th, members of the Rescue Squad were at Ballston Mall performing free health screenings for the community. We provided both Blood Pressure checks as well as Blood Sugar measurements, all free of charge, in an effort to help individuals within our community maintain an awareness of some of their basic health "numbers." We also wanted to raise awareness of the role that Emergency Medical Services plays in the community. We provided over 400 screenings at the mall during the week; way to go, Arlington!
Back in Ballston!
The Squad is again running from Arlington County Station 2 in Ballston. This move allows us to stay closer to the center of the county to be available with a shorter response time to most calls.
